The Weissenstein

The Weissenstein is a mountain ridge in the Swiss Jura to the north of the city of Solothurn and is considered the local mountain of the canton of Solothurn. The plateau lies at around 1,300 metres and can be reached all year round by the Weissenstein cable car from Oberdorf (SO). In the summer months, there is also a well-developed pass road from Oberdorf (SO) to Gänsbrunnen (BE).

The Weissenstein offers a wide range of outdoor activities at any time of year. In summer, there are numerous paths for hiking, walking and biking. In winter, cross-country ski trails and toboggan runs are available.
